Moms need lots of rest so that they can wake up each morning as their best selves. Here are four tips for making your bed ultra-comfy for the best sleep ever.
As a mom, every day is a busy day. At the end of it, all you want is to head to bed and recharge for tomorrow. But if your bed is stiff and uncomfortable, it can impact how well you doze off, which can then impact your ability to get things done the next day. But don’t fear; using these tips for making your bed ultra comfortable, you can turn your bed into a rest calming zone and get the sound sleep you need and deserve.
1. Start With the Mattress
The mattress is the foundation of your bed and the main factor that influences how comfortable it is. If your mattress is old, beat-up, or too soft or firm for your liking, it may be time to replace it. Personally, we recommend either memory foam or pillow top mattresses. While similar, memory foam and pillow-top mattresses do have some differences.
Memory foam is ideal for side sleepers because it disperses weight better. If you like to feel warm when you sleep, memory foam can also help you retain heat. Pillow top is more cost-friendly and ideal for stomach or back sleepers.
2. New, Soft Sheets
Next, you need new sheets! New sheets can completely change how your bed feels. Cotton and linen are two affordable and comfy material options; if you have sensitive skin, you may also want to consider silk, which is more expensive but extremely smooth and sanitary.
3. Get Down With Down Pillows
Pillows are a crucial part of every bed setup. They help support your neck so that you can wake up each morning without pain. Down pillows are a popular choice because they’re super soft, easy to care for, and offer great neck support.
4. Go Weighted
If you find it hard to sleep due to anxiety or stress, using a weighted blanket can help calm you down. These heavy blankets are filled with glass beads and put pressure on your body like a hug, which encourages your body to produce feel-good serotonin and dopamine.
Moms, rest is important! Get the most out of every night by redoing your bed using these tips for making it ultra comfortable and getting the best sleep possible.
