What Is Outschool
This one-of-a-kind homeschooling resource provides a wide range of live, online courses for students of all ages and works with small groups of students in each subject area.
Outschool is an online platform that connects students with professors for extracurricular classes through live online classes.
Although the site is mostly used by homeschooling families that cannot attend traditional school, in recent years, parents who wish to keep their children learning, socialising, and following their hobbies while staying at home have found it to be a quite beneficial learning experience.
Outschool has been covered in The New York Times, CNN, and other major media publications since its start in 2015.
The most outstanding feature is the calibre of its teaching personnel and small-group classes on the outschool platform.
Before being allowed to teach on the platform through the form of a zoom meeting, teachers must submit a video introduction and go through a rigorous interview procedure so students can get the most out of distance learning.
As a result, Outschool has an amazing 1:5 teacher-to-student ratio when compared to other online learning platforms.

FAQ
Is Outschool for adults?
I notice lots of classes that I’d want to take when browsing for classes for my boys.
Unfortunately, in order to ensure student safety, Outschool sessions are limited to students under the age of 18, and independent adults are not permitted to attend.
Is Outschool legit?
Yes! A evaluation procedure that involves video lesson plans and interviews is required of all teachers.
My children have attended a variety of classes with a variety of professors, and I have found everyone of them to be professional, interesting, and competent.
Is It Safe?
Yes! An outschool teacher goes through background checks and provides a safe environment for your little one to learn in. The independent teachers host many virtual classes in their field of teaching experience and there are many parent reviews to back up their claims.
What Do We Need To Have For The Classes?
Your child will need access to either a tablet, laptop or desktop computer as these are online classes. We bought our 9 year old son this laptop computer for his learning just last Christmas and he loves it! You do NOT have to buy a new computer for outschool. If you have a simple tablet like this, or a desktop it would work perfectly well.
You may also want to have some basic supplies such as pens and paper (we love these notebooks) so your kids can take notes as well!
If you’re going to enroll your kiddo in the art classes, you may want to consider purchasing basic art supplies such as water color paint (I have multiple of these at my house!) and a mixed media paper pad as well as some crayons and markers if you don’t have any at home. I also love these art sets, each of my kids have one of these!
Bottom Line
Outschool offers a wide variety of online classes for kids that are both fun and educational. From coding and robotics to language learning and art, there’s something for every child’s interest and skill level. The classes are taught by experienced teachers and offer a small class size, which allows for personalized attention and interaction with other students.
Additionally, Outschool classes are flexible and can be taken at any time, making it easy to fit them into a busy schedule. Overall, Outschool is a great option for parents looking to supplement their child’s education or introduce them to new subjects and hobbies.
