What My Kids Are Getting For Christmas 2023
Being a mom of three uniquely wonderful kids, I find that picking the perfect Christmas gifts becomes an adventure in itself, one filled with thoughtful considerations, secret missions, and the delightful anticipation of seeing their faces light up on Christmas morning.
This year, I’ve embarked on a special quest to find gifts that not only bring joy but also encourage their individual passions and curiosities.
In this post, I’m thrilled to share with you the treasures I’ve chosen for my little ones. From the latest gadgets for my tech-savvy 10-year-old to creative and engaging toys for my imaginative 7-year-old, and the most enchanting gifts for my 3-year-old who loves to dream, each present has been selected with love and the magic of Christmas in mind.

My Christmas List for 10 Year Old Boy
I’m going to start with this kiddo because he was my hardest to shop for. He’s really into video games, but we don’t allow much screen time so I don’t want to encourage screen time with getting him too many video games.. you know what I mean?
He had a Birthday in October and got all new desk accessories for his gaming laptop…so there are no tech gifts on here, but if you’re needing ideas for Christmas for your techy 10 year old I highly suggest a long mousepad, headphones, a headphone stand or a new keyboard (in addition to the ideas on this list).
Here is his Christmas list:
- A Big Soft Snackle Plush (he asked for a cool new stuffie – I’m hoping I hit the nail on the head)
- Bitzee – This toy is trending, and it’s like a digital tamagotchi – which he wanted, but I couldn’t track one down for his birthday so I’m giving him this digital pet for Christmas.
- Classic Simon Game – This is a great game he can play on his own, which sometimes he needs a little alone time from all the rest of the busy house.
- Ripzone Hoodie – Because it’s cool, and it’s a clothing item which is needed!
- Gummy Candy Lab – He is outgrowing this kind of science stuff, but this one is candy based, so I’m hoping he likes it.
- New Bedding – Yep, something fresh and new for his bed.
- Mario Wonders Video Game – Something he really wanted so I got it for my little man.
- Mario Kart Add on – this is just a code for the switch, and it allows new features to be unlocked on the Mario Kart 8 Video Game. I don’t really know much about it…but it was requested so fine haha.
- Pajamas – New PJ’s! 1 Christmas themed, and a few other ones. We ALWAYS get new pj’s for the kids at Christmas, and they get the Christmas themed ones on Christmas, and they wear them for Christmas morning, every year!
- Rock Tumbler Grit – We got him a Rock Tumbler last year for Christmas and he loves to use it, so more grit means more play with the tumbler!
- Calendar – This is a special Calendar that he asked for, and it supports his favorite youtuber. Is $48 too much for a calendar? Usually yes, but for Christmas…why not.
- Skates and helmet for skating.
- Brainquest – This is something I am hoping to do together with him so that we can get some bonding and learning in!
- Digital Camera – Just a simple digital camera with an SD card – nothing fancy at all for this age.
- Microphone – My kiddo likes to make youtube videos, so a microphone can help with some of the loud background noise he might have in a video.
- Organic T-Shirts – We like mountain warehouse because their clothes are high quality and organic too!
- Pokemon Toy – Because he’s still a little boy to me, I hope he plays with his pokemon toy!
- Supersmash Brothers – Yes it’s a video game and I want him off the computer BUTTTT he’s only allowed 45 min of screentime daily so between his youtube channel and chatting with friends on messenger kids, he doesn’t have too much time to play it.
- Magic Carpet Sled – I got one for each kiddo. We have fancy sleds, but sometimes the simple ones are fun too.
- Battleship – We have a mini version and I love to play with my son, so a big version was a must.
Christmas Gifts For My 7 Year Old Boy
This little man is also going to have a Birthday in January, so I’ll do the Christmas list first, then I’ll share his Birthday portion too. Yes all the shopping is done by Black Friday Weekend – maybe I’m a little crazy but..why not.
This is what my 7 Year old is getting for Christmas.
- Furby – This is a MUST have for him, he is SO excited.
- Smashers Truck Surprise – This just looks awesome and fun, I think hes going to go nuts for it.
- Play Doh Kit – He still loves his play doh, so another kit in our home is a good idea!
- Bitzee – His brother has one, so he has to have one too!
- Kinetic Sand – Another thing he absolutely loves.
- Motorbike Lego – My kids are not HUGE on Lego, but this is a great bonding time gift for my son. I like to put lego together with him. It’s really special. He sometimes will play with it on his own…but mostly we play together.
- Big Life Journal – I am SO excited to give this to him. This is something we will fill out together.
- Pajamas – Same as my older son, he gets the exact same number of pj’s, and a Christmas set for Christmas eve.
- Bedding – New bedding for him too – why not!
- Engineering Activity Book
- Clay – This was a specific ask of his! I also got him a mat to play with his clay on, so it doesn’t ruin the table and it keeps things clean.
- Hoodie – I found a perfect Hoodie at mountain warehouse. It’s organic and warm! I did also get him a cheaper walmart hoodie because it had a cool design!
- Craft Supplies – paint brushes, paint, paper. He’s an artist! Actually there are SO many craft supplies I think I went overboard…but that’s ok.
- Watch – This is something he needs!
- Pokemon Toy – He loves Pokemon, so a nice little toy was needed I think.
- Stuffed Animal – This kid LOVES stuffed animals so I got him the “worlds softest” kind.
- Magic Carpet Sled
- Art Portfolio – This was a really cool find and I got it on clearance but it’s basically a GIANT accordion folder so we can keep all the art in there. It’s similar to the one I linked, but it is ALEX brand.
- Glow Art Kit – Cute kit, we will see how it really is on Christmas!
- Walk A Lot Puppy – My son might be a little too old for this one, but heck, I think he will love it because he loves stuffies still.
- Marble Painting Kit – This is from auntie and uncle and because he loves art!
This kiddo has a birthday just after Christmas so…here is his Birthday gift list. I try to get it all done before Christmas each year.
Birthday List
- Amazon Fire Tablet – His brother got an Amazon fire Tablet when he was 8, so it is time. We got the same one, with a case.
- Headphones – To play the tablet!
- X Box controller – he has one, but his is breaking and I found the coolest lime green color I hope he loves.
- STEAM Music– We love science around here.
Christmas Gifts For My 3 Year Old Girl
For my baby girl, I don’t think these gifts need a lot of explaining. She is 3, she loves to use her imagination and she loves music.
- Minnie Mouse Ice Cream Cart – I think I am most excited about this one. It’s SO cute.
- Furby – She’s going to love her brothers furby, and I don’t want fighting…so she gets one too.
- JJ Doll – She enjoys Cocomelon from time to time, and JJ is her favorite.
- Splash blocks – These are basically mega blocks, but made for the bath.
- Pull Back Cars – This is an age appropriate toy I think she will like.
- Melissa & Doug Blue’s Clues & You! Wooden Magnetic Picture Game
- A Wand – because she is a princess obviously.
- Play doh set – Pony themed ofcourse
- Baby Shark Weighted Blanket– New bedding for this one too!
- New Baby Doll
- Punch Bag – These are just plain fun.
- New play food – we seem to have lost a lot of our old play food – probably under the couch.
- Play scarves – Basically a necessity for play
- Busy Book – This is mostly for outings so I can get a coffee date in with a girlfriend at Starbucks haha!
- Storytime With Sunny – I am obsessed with how cute this is. It’s going to be her favorite.
- Magic Carpet Sled
- Dollhouse – She’s right at the perfect age for a dollhouse now.
- Walk A Lot Puppy – Had to get this little one a puppy toy too!
- Stuffed animal – I got her a cute little fluffy puppy.
Stocking Stuffers For The Kids
We keep stockings simple – each child has almost the same stocking – different items will very based on age.
- Candy and Chocolate
- 1 Santa Chocolate
- A Toothbrush
- Toothpaste
- Socks
- 2 Kinds of sensory fidgets (one squishy, one not)
- Baby Girl will get a little pony, hairclips, crayons and a coloring book)
- 7 Year old will get a scratch pad activity book, crayons, tie die kit ( I found at my dollar store, looked neat!)
- 10 year old will get tie die kit, locking journal (with pop it cover!), and some bigger fidget toys for his needs.
Conclusion
All in all, I wrapped about 75 gifts. I may have left a few gifts off the list but honestly I can’t even remember what they are at this point – sorry! This 75 also includes daddy’s gifts – he got 10 this year. He normally gets the same stuff…Dr. Squatch soaps and shampoos, socks etc.
For my eldest, the range of gifts from the intriguing Bitzee to the engaging Classic Simon Game, and the much-desired Mario-themed items, are carefully chosen to balance his love for technology with the need for physical play and creativity. The thought of him cozying up in his new hoodie or diving into the world of candy science with the Gummy Candy Lab makes me smile.
My middle child’s world of imagination and exploration will be further enriched with gifts like the Furby, the intriguing STEAM Music kit, and the Kinetic Sand. I look forward to seeing him delve into the worlds created by the Play Doh Kit and the Motorbike Lego, and the moments we’ll share filling out the Big Life Journal.
And for my youngest, the enchantment of Christmas will be made real with gifts like the Minnie Mouse Ice Cream Cart and her very own Furby, alongside playful and educational items like the Melissa & Doug set and the Splash blocks. Her joy in discovering her new Baby Doll and playing with the Punch Bag will be a delightful sight.
The stocking stuffers, carefully chosen for each child, are little tokens of love that I hope will bring them joy and usefulness throughout the coming year.
As I prepare for the big day, I am filled with gratitude and excitement. Christmas is a time of giving and sharing, and seeing my children’s happiness is the greatest gift of all. This Christmas promises to be a memorable one, filled with laughter, love, and the magic that only this festive season can bring. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a night of joyful surprises! 🎄✨
