Essentially, we can show through brain imaging that when your child has a thought, it interacts directly with the emotional region of the brain. In a nutshell, your emotions are shaped by your ideas.
Your emotions, in turn, influence your outer acts and behaviors.
In conclusion, the more positive ideas your child has, the better he or she will feel and the better their day will be!

When your child is trapped in a negative thinking cycle, the amygdala, or emotional centre of the brain, is most likely at work.
This is a healthy and vital portion of the brain for a variety of reasons, but it’s not the part of the brain we want to be in the majority of the time since we want to be fully awake and present in our rational, logical thinking brain (our pre-frontal cortex).
Your child is physically disengaging their ‘feeling brain’ and re-activating the area of the brain responsible for problem-solving, impulse control, and emotional regulation when they utilize affirmations for kids. It’s just incredible!

When we’re in stressful situations or places throughout our lives, it’s all too easy to fall into negative thought cycles.
It is good and necessary for your child to recognize and express their emotions, but staying caught in them for long periods of time is not.
Every time your child thinks with intention, new neuropathways in the brain are generated, according to a principle known as neuroplasticity.
A new neural pathway is formed when I re-direct my daughter’s negative thinking with a more positive one, and she is able to repeat it multiple times herself.
The more your child engages in deliberate positive thought, the easier it will be for their neurons to follow this course in the future.
You’re essentially assisting your child in developing a neurological on-ramp to resilience on the “freeway” of their future problems!
Why Positive Affirmations Are Important Bottom Line
I despised the fact that even as a small child, my daughter was telling herself, “I can’t.”
Enter affirmations, sometimes known as positive mantras, which I’ve been using for several years. Instead of using phrases like “I can’t,” positive affirmations for kids teach us to use words like “I can,” which empower and inspire us.
We may calm the negative chatter by altering the words we tell ourselves, and as a result, we talk to ourselves in a more optimistic way. Positive affirmations are a technique of raising us up rather than bringing us down.
According to studies, our thoughts could be up to 70% negative on aveanger. To make matters worse, we tend to have the same ideas day after day, week after week.
Positive affirmations are one approach to interrupt the loop of negative talk, but they should not be used on a regular basis… but to make it a habit so that good ideas become second nature to us.
Our thinking patterns begin when we are children’s, and fortunately for us parents, our early children are quite capable of expressing themselves when they want to. This gives us a better understanding of how people feel whether they’re frustrated or trying something new.
I decided to perform my affirmations with my kid around the time of the puzzle event. I knew how important they were for me to break my negative thinking loop, so I decided I’d start her off on the right foot by practising them with her at a young age. After all, it’s never too early to develop a practice of thinking positively.

Simply, the things you tell yourself are important. To put it another way, if you tell yourself you can’t, you’re absolutely correct… because you’ll never get it! Even before you’ve given yourself a chance, the phrase “can’t” shuts down the potential.
But why don’t you start saying what you’re capable of? And start emphasizing your favourable attributes? It’ll change your life because your brain will believe whatever you tell it.
